Basically, Whether it is Macbook or any other laptop that won’t charge, then it’s really frustrating!
What all you need to do is:
Go through the basics-
Few things to check like-
Is the device plugged in? Is the MagSafe connection plugged in or not?
Apple adaptor connected properly as laptop adaptor comes in two parts either square socket? Have you switched on the wall socket? Have you tried a different wall socket?
Go to the battery icon and check whether you required replace it or not? wall in to adaptor or a removable plug.
Check the Settings-
Have a look on Settings that might be draining the system’s charging. For this, go to System preferences and choose Settings> Energy saver. Check that Display Sleep and Computer Sleep are set to ‘Never’.
It has three recommendations if your device’sand reset the battery. Remove it if you have an older Apple laptop.
Reset the SMC- It can help with power First doesn’t charge properly:
Get your Mac services or replace the battery in case SMC doesn’t work.
Reset System Management Controller-
Below are the steps that you need to follow on a new MacBook (With non-removable battery):
First shut down the MacBook.
Now, connect to MagSafe power adapter.
Press Control+Shift+Option and the Power button for 5 seconds. And release all four together.
Now to start up the Mac, press the Power button.
If your MacBook battery keeps losing its charge, of just doesn't hold its charge as long as it used to, you should check a few things.
The first port of call is to make sure that your settings aren't draining the battery (as detailed below), we also suggest that you check that the MacBook isn't part of a recall (as mentioned above).
Open up System Preferences and choosing Settings > Energy Saver.
Check that the Computer Sleep and Display Sleep sliders are not all the way to the right (set to Never).
If they are, click the Default button to reset them.
Our final bit of advice would be to not leave your MacBook plugged in all the time. It's good practice to let your battery completely discharge and then recharge once in a while.
